Small companies 'should consider outsourcing'
Outsourcing is an option many small and medium-sized companies should consider, it has been suggested.
Industry expert Piers Linney stated that doing so will enable firms to focus on running their business effectively.
The advice may be of use to organisations that are debating carrying out sales outsourcing to a specialist company.
Noting that many are "embracing" the opportunity to outsource, Mr Linney stated that a lot of firms are realising doing so offers a good return on investment (ROI) over the long term.
"It's all about ROI," he said, adding: "You can save money today, or you can make your business more effective and efficient and that means you're going to make more money."
He also remarked that running a successful operation "is about focusing on your business" rather than other factors that may impede development.
Mr Linney's advice follows that of John Grange of government support service Business Link, who stated that companies considering sales outsourcing need to consider a number of factors.
Among these, he remarked, is ensuring that the advantages and disadvantages of such a move have been property evaluated before a decision is made.
Organisations should also make sure they constantly monitor their sales outsourcing to ensure standards do not fall, he argued.
