Blogs 'can boost lead generation'
Using corporate blogs can help increase a company's lead generation prospects, it has been suggested.
Speaking to BtoB Online, Chris Baggott of Compendium Blogware explained that including blogs in a search marketing strategy can improve the results generated through organic search.
He noted that while the majority of marketers opt to use pay-per-click in order to generate returns on investment, studies have show that organic searches are responsible for many of the clicks a user makes on search engines.
"The vast majority of business blog readers are first-time visitors and most of these people find the blogs through search," Mr Baggott told the news source, adding that once visitor numbers begin to increase, blogs can be given "renewed energy" and altered to place an emphasis on search engine optimisation (SEO).
He also urged firms considering introducing a blog as part of their lead generation strategy to cover topics that internet users are likely to be searching for and noted that a blog should be titled using the keywords so that it is easily found during searches.
Bolton-based entrepreneur Daniel Robinson recently said that SEO is helping to improve lead generation prospects, with many businesses seeking his advice on how to increase their internet traffic.
