Outsourcing "cost-effective" for businesses
Outsourcing activities and services can enable companies to concentrate on the things that they do best and "focus on the core", an expert has recommended.
According to John Grange, an adviser at Business Link, policies such as sales outsourcing offer "total access to experts" on a range of subjects as and when it is required.
"You are only really paying for it as you need it and when you don't need it there's not a cost to you," Mr Grange explained.
Businesses should not "be afraid of engaging with outsourced outside individuals", he remarked, adding that "it can be very cost-effective" and ensures that enterprises are not distracted from their core activities.
Mr Grange's comments come in the wake of figures released by the Chartered Institute of Personal Development, which indicated that 89 per cent of employers are implementing outsourcing practices in some areas of their business.
A research report, written by Alison Lewis of Leeds University Business School, revealed that 29 per cent of 315 organisations polled were using human resources outsourcing.
Frost & Sullivan recently suggested that outsourcing companies handling calls in Europe, Africa and the Middle East have remained competitive in spite of the current economic climate.
