Support offered for UK start-ups

Those looking to start up a new business in the UK have been offered support from one company.

As part of a campaign called Get Started, Regus has announced £10 million worth of support for new enterprises.

This will include the chance for 50,000 new firms which are struggling with start-up costs to make free use of business office spaces.

The campaign is also backed by the British Chamber of Commerce and could spell good news for businesses looking to establish themselves in the UK market, as well as giving the British economy a boost.

Mark Dixon, chief executive officer of Regus, said it is vital that decisive action is taken now to "support people who want to set up their own business", as well as "getting small businesses moving again".

The North West Evening Mail recently reported on figures from Barclays Bank which show that the number of new business start-ups in the UK has increased compared to 2007.
