Remote working 'could aid market entry'
Modern technology has made it a lot easier for companies to introduce remote working initiatives, it has been claimed.
According to Mike Ballantine, business development manager for Aastra, developments mean having employees working from outside the office is now a viable option.
IT firms that are looking to carry out market entry - both in the UK and abroad - may wish to consider implementing a remote working strategy while they conduct an expansion strategy in their chosen markets.
Remote working can be a more affordable alternative to establishing a full office, Mr Ballantine explained, stating that not every employee necessarily needs to be given the capability.
"It could be your key workers, the key people that are going to keep your business functioning, that's what businesses need to be looking at," he commented.
However, companies must have access to a reliable broadband connection for effective remote working, he said, adding: "There's lots of technology out there now which makes it much, much easier to deploy a sensible and cost effective solution for people."
In related news, the Chartered Institute of Marketing recently urged companies looking to improve their lead generation to invest in new technology that can be used to replace direct marketing tactics.
