Outsourcing 'becoming more popular'
Outsourcing sales operations to call centres is becoming increasingly popular with businesses, it has been observed.
According to outsourcing expert James McGuire, they have the benefit of offering a "fully-equipped and well-qualified" team that can handle operations such as following up leads or assisting with customer service.
Firms that are currently wanting to increase their customer numbers but lack the finances or resources to do so in-house may wish to consider outsourcing and Mr McGuire explained that specialists are able to tailor an outsourcing programme to the specific requirements of a company due to their flexibility.
"The type of call centre is all dependent on the business and [its]needs," he remarked, adding that one of the biggest benefits of the process is being able to easily connect with prospective and current clients, which can potentially "greatly increase the satisfaction of your customers".
The trend for outsourcing sales to call centres may be set to continue after a recent survey from Stein Rogan & Partners found that telemarketing is the most popular form of lead generation among businesses that are hoping to increase uptake of their products or services.
A total of 86 per cent of respondents to the study said they were using this method of communication.
