Networking 'can aid lead generation'
Making the most of networking can result in successful lead generation, it has been suggested.
According to SBTV.com, companies should aim to collect at least five leads from every person they meet at such an event.
Firms should go into networking with the aim of increasing their customer base, growing their revenue and presenting their business of professional service offerings to those that may need it, the news source stated, noting that proper preparation is vital to ensuring as many leads are collected as possible.
A business calendar, business card holder, pen and paper and promotional material are all items that should be taken to a networking event, the website observed, while firms should also ensure they have dates and deadlines ready for upcoming networking opportunities.
"Networking is more than a 'feel-good gathering'; it's about business growth and lead generation," it observed, adding: "At your next networking event, armour yourself with what it takes to build your customer base."
Organisations were recently advised to make lead generation one of their top priorities, with Laura Patterson telling npost.com that firms should particularly focus on ensuring there is a constant flow of leads in their buying pipeline, something that effective use of networking events may be able to help with.
