Lead generation 'will improve with optimised images'
Improving images on a company website can help aid the effectiveness of online lead generation, it has been suggested.
According to Marketing Sherpa, failing to optimise this aspect of a webpage has an impact on the amount of traffic coming to a firm's site, something that those looking to boost their client numbers by improving their lead generation techniques may wish to address.
Optimising pictures to make them attract attention during a search will boost traffic from areas such as web searches that feature image results and third-party hosting sites, the news source noted.
"The big thing that most people don't realise is, even though image search traffic volume is much less than web search traffic volume, the competition for that volume is less," industry specialist Eric Enge was quoted as saying.
However, organisations should ensure the rest of their website, such as hyperlinks and text, are optimised before turning their attention to improving their images, Marketing Sherpa noted.
Companies have also been advised to consider making changes to their online keywords in order to make better use of their web marketing budgets, with Mark Simon of Didit telling BtoBOnline.com that doing so can increase the number of sales conversions.
