Lead_generation_approach_1_3_classic_tele-marketing
This article describes the classic tele-marketing approach which could be improved by our main service.
The classic tele-marketing approach is essentially a cold call to a carefully researched or selected list of names with a carefully prepared and professionally presented message.
The approach is quick and simple to set up and can be very effective at bringing short term results, which is an unbeatable edge during a recession period and can make the difference against competitors. Classic tele-marketing will work fine in many cases, however, where the solution is relatively generic or there are a lot of competitors in a given market, it does not necessarily work as well as the Lead Automated Marketing Process (LAMP) process outlined below.
The systems and processes that we use in tele-marketing are important in a project, however, the key feature of our service is the quality of the tele-marketing people we use. We often use experienced IT sales people who have 10-20 years of sales experience. Hence, they can easily understand your proposition and handle complex solutions and requirements on the phone with senior decisions markers.
The main guideline of selling people is that the best systems and processes and reporting in the world are irrelevant unless the quality of the people is right.
In addition we can often supply data and may already have intelligence in certain markets where we have operated complimentary campaigns previously. Wasting time on poor quality data is very expensive. We can supply data or cleanse existing data cost effectively.
The final part of the mix is quality project management and reporting. This will typically be supported by a quality web based CRM system so that Excel spreadsheets do not start to take over the project. At Selling People we use our sophisticated LAMP system which includes a comprehensive client portal.
